Union and Anderlecht know their eight respective opponents for the league phase of the Europa League.

The Union’s opponents: Rangers (SCO) away, AS Roma (ITA) home, Fenerbahçe (TUR) away, Braga (POR) home, Bodø/Glimt (NOR) home, Midtjylland (DEN) away, Nice (FRA) home, Twente (NED) away.

Anderlecht’s opponents: Porto (POR) home, Slavia Prague (CZE) away, Ferencváros (HUN) home, Real Sociedad (ESP) away, Ludogorets (BUL) home, Viktoria Plzeň (CZE) away, Hoffenheim (GER) home, RFS (LVA) away.

After a major reform of European competitions, the Europa League has adopted a system similar to that of the Champions League. The league phase is played by 36 teams, each of which will play eight matches. The clubs, divided into four pots for the draw, will each face two teams from each pot, including their own. Four matches will be at home, and four away, with the schedule to be determined.

All teams will be included in a single ranking. At the end of the eight days, the top eight will qualify for the round of 16. The teams between 9th and 24th places will play in knockout play-offs for a place in the round of 16. The teams from 25th to 36th places will be eliminated.

Once the round of 16 stage is reached, the competition will return to its classic format with two-legged knockout matches until the final which will take place on May 21, 2025 in Bilbao.
