Victim of a violent tackle last Wednesday
Last Wednesday, Enzo Sternal suffered a violent tackle from a Swiss player during the first day of the Limoges Tournament. The young talent remained on the field and even gave the Bleuets the victory by scoring the decisive penalty (2-2, 4-2 tab). Without Sternal this Sunday, France lost this time on penalties (1-1, 2-0 tab), finishing in second place.
At the end of May, Enzo Sternal won the Coupe Gambardella with OM, allowing the Marseille club to win this trophy reserved for youngsters for the second time. The kids won the final at the Stade de France against Nancy (4-1), Sternal’s former club.
At the beginning of August, Enzo Sternal signed his first professional contract with OM. Having arrived at the club at the age of 15 in 2022, the 17-year-old striker has signed until 2027. In the process, he played his first Ligue 1 match on the first day against Brest (4-1), entering in the 79th minute.
