The FFBB opens the doors of its clubs to all 6-11 year olds

Open days organized by the FFBB with the support of the Kinder Joy of Moving program, this operation aims to introduce as many people as possible to the joys of Basketball.

More than 1,000 basketball clubs, spread across the entire metropolitan national territory, are preparing to host the FFBB's traditional end-of-year operation for young people: “Kinder Joy of Moving Basket Day”. Young basketball players licensed by the FFBB will have the opportunity to introduce their passion to an uninitiated relative. To participate, you do not need to be licensed. All 6-11 year olds wishing to discover the practice of basketball will indeed be welcome in all the clubs participating in the operation. And the young members of these clubs are of course invited to invite their friends?

During this day or half-day, budding basketball players will participate in a series of fun and educational workshops, in particular to perfect their shots at different distances towards the baskets, try dribbling courses, or even games dexterity with the ball to test and improve your skill.

The operation Kinder Joy of Moving Basket Day thus represents for the French BasketBall Federation a unique opportunity to discover the discipline and its values, and to develop its practice among young people. For parents, the operation helps introduce their children to new activities, and thus encourage physical activity. Finally, for children, this event represents a day of fun and discovery, in a friendly atmosphere.

Budding basketball players meet professionals

The richness of this event also lies in the commitment of basketball players, amateurs or professionals. With a territorial network of 1,007 clubs, the operation Kinder Joy of Moving Basket Day will allow these 100,150 children to meet those who keep basketball alive in France: coaches, licensees and professional athletes. Some clubs will take advantage of their proximity to a professional club to bring a few professional athletes to their event, to the delight of young basketball players.
