The relatives of Aboubakar Cissé, a young Malian who mortally stabbed, on April 25, in a mosque in Gard (south of France), declined the invitation of the French minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, on the advice of their lawyers, according to information revealed this Monday by BFMTV.
On the advice of its lawyers, the family has declined the invitation of Retailleau, which will be content to exchange with representatives of associations of the Malian community, specifies BFMTV.
last Saturday, Yassine Bouzrou, one of the family lawyers advised, on Franceinfo, to its customers “to never go to a minister who lacked respect in this way in front of all France”.
“I strongly advise against my clients to go to a minister who called Aboubakar Cissé as an irregular situation. I found these remarks completely disrespectful,” he said.
Bruno Retailleau is accused of having been slow to meet the victim’s family and of having lacked consideration towards them, according to Franceinfo.
“Aboubakar Cissé was in an irregular situation, it was difficult to find his family, partly in Africa. His parents are in two countries in black Africa, some said they were cousins or uncles. But when we are Minister of the Interior, we must receive the family, the family legally proven,” said Bruno Retailleau last Wednesday.
Many participants in recent demonstrations in tribute to the young Aboubakar also insurgent against the “too late” trip of the Minister of the Interior in the Gard, 48 hours after the crime.
As a reminder, Friday April 25 in the morning, when he was alone in the Mosque of the Grand-Combe, Aboubakar, a young faithful had been attacked of several dozen stabs before being left for dead by his executioner who, a few moments earlier, pretended to pray to his side.
The author of the assault himself filmed his victim with his phone before insulting Allah and fleeing, leaving the young Aboubakar to agony.
Olivier H., the alleged murderer, went on April 27 in the night in Italy, to the Pistoia police station near Florence. He will be extradited to France in “mid-May”, according to his Italian lawyer.
