On the morning of May 6, the Vietnamese Volleyball Federation (VFV) announced that the main sponsor of the Vietnamese women’s female team was Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (Phu My Fertilizer).
During the period 2022-2024, the Vietnamese Volleyball Women’s team carried out a remarkable course of achievements in regional, continental and global tournaments.
In the last three Southeast Asian Games, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team kept their position with the silver medal, just behind Thailand. On the Asian scene, the team made exploits, in particular: winning the AVC Challenger 2023; 4th place in the 2023 Asian Asian championship; TOP 4 of the Asiad 19; Champion AVC Challenger 2024.
On the world stage, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and his teammates won third place in the FIVB Challenger and qualified for the first time for the world championship which will take place in Phuket, Thailand, in August 2025.
After major achievements, Vietnamese volleyball players have received timely attention and encouragement with the first official sponsorship contract to continue to new stages during international tournaments in 2025, in particular the objective of winning the gold medal in the 33rd Sea Games.
The secretary general of the VFV, the Truong, said: “Having a sponsor will allow the Vietnamese Volleyball women’s team to have more resources to develop, installations with international travel and competition trips. We are committed to using these resources in a transparent way, to help the team prepare for the best for tournaments. »»
The objective of winning the gold medal in the 33rd Southeast Asian games promises to be very difficult to reach, because the Thai volleyball female team is superior in the category (having won the gold medal since 1995) and also has the advantage of the field. The secretary general of the VFV said: “High -level sport must always overcome the pressure. We chatted with the team of coaches to determine the measures to be taken to motivate the athletes. Thanks to their strength and analysis of the opponent, the whole team strives to reach the goal of winning the gold medal at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games. »»
