A fire that broke out in the Valero refinery in Benicia, , with a capacity of 145,000 barrels per , was extinguished, the company said on Monday.

“All the staff was and no one injured is to be deplored. The cause of the incident is the subject of an investigation,” added the company in a by email.

Valero said she continued to coordinate with local authorities and the State, but did not reveal the state of the refinery.

The Iir Energy research company said that the Benicia refinery was closed after its fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCC), with a capacity of 77,000 BPJ, has undergone significant damage following the fire.
