Drop in gas prices
The price of gas decreases by 6.4 %. This drop translates concretely into a reduction of 88 euros per year on invoices for households which consume approximately 11,200 kWh per year.
Social aid: payment of revalued amounts
The new amounts of several aids paid by CAF, revalued by 1.7 % in April to follow inflation, will be visible from the payment of May 5. Here are the main changes:
- The disabled adult allowance (AAH) increases to € 1,033.32 (against € 1,013.05 before)
- The RSA reaches € 646.52 for a single person, € 969.78 for a couple
- The ceiling of the activity bonus increases to € 633.21
Employer contributions
Several changes are made to employer contributions from this Thursday. The general reduction in employer contributions is now set to:
- 0.3193 for companies with less than 50 employees,
- 0.3233 for those with 50 or more employees.
The employers’ contribution to unemployment insurance is also concerned, since the rate goes from 4.05 % to 4 % of gross salary.
Last month to carry out your income tax return
The 2025 income declaration campaign ends on May 22 for departments ranging from 1 to 19. For those ranging from 20 to 54, it is May 28. For the other departments, it ends on June 5.
From this year, married or PACS couples automatically benefit from an individual sample rate, unless they oppose it. In addition, income from platforms such as Vinted or Leboncoin must now be reported, even if they are not taxed.
