The Ukrainian presidency reacted by once again demanding “a complete ceasefire” and castigated “the desire to kill until the end of his days” by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Simultaneously at these strikes on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, explosions were heard in a district of the city of Soumy and anti -alerts triggered, among others, in the regions of Kyïv, Kharkiv, Cherniguiv, Soumy, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporijia.
In Odessa, an “enemy attack has damaged, residential buildings, houses, a supermarket, a school and cars,” said local governor Oleg Kiper, speaking of two people killed and five others injured by a Russian drone strike.
Ukrainian emergency services later denounced, in a statement Thursday morning, a “massive Russian attack” which left “two dead and, according to a provisional assessment, 15 other injured people”.
These new Moscow strikes occur at a time when the United States and Ukraine have just signed a large economic agreement in Washington on Wednesday an investment fund in the reconstruction of this country ravaged by the war and giving the administration of Donald Trump access to Ukrainian natural resources.
There are in parallel multiple international diplomatic negotiations to find an outcome to the conflict, more than three years after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, punctuated by almost daily bombing on civil structures.
The head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, Andriï Iermark, again asked for his Telegram account that “we, with the United States, push for a full ceasefire”.
The president “Putin will constantly have the desire to kill, until the end of his days, but diplomacy coupled with energetic economic means of influence will contrast Russia to arrest war,” wrote Mr. Iermark.
“We work there every day with our partners. There will soon be more important diplomacy that will concern our security and a fair and lasting peace, ”assured the right arm of President Volodymyr Zelensky, without being more precise.
