Five days after the disturbing disappearance of Agathe Hilairet, 28, which occurred Thursday morning when she was jogging in Vivonne, a judicial information was opened on Monday, April 14 for “kidnapping” and “sequestration”, announced the Poitiers prosecutor’s office.
The public prosecutor, Cyril Lacombe, said in a press release that this evolution of the legal framework aims to “strengthen the means” made available to investigators. The investigation, now open against X, takes a more serious turn as research continues without a tangible result.
Since Thursday, a hundred gendarmes, accompanied by cynophile brigades, have been mobilized on the ground. Research is intensifying around the area where Agathe’s phone was located for the last time, between the localities “Les Grands Ormeaux” and “The Salaud field”, in Voulon. The device ceased to emit within a radius of 250 meters in the early afternoon, the same day of its disappearance.
A call for witnesses was launched on Friday, widely relayed by the local authorities. “The objective was to cover and ratify with precision all the places likely to have been borrowed by the jogger,” said the magistrate.
Agathe Hilairet is described as measuring 1.65 meters, weighing 35 kg, with “anorexic corpulence”. On the day of her disappearance, she wore a sports outfit made up of black shorts and a race bag.
Several hearings have already been carried out by the investigators, notably with his relatives, but for the time being, no track seems privileged. The concern grows around this unexplained disappearance.
Anyone with elements likely to help the survey are invited to contact the Vivonne gendarmerie on 05 49 43 41 15.
