The Ezzedine Al-Qassam brigades, an army army of the Palestinian Islamist terrorist movement Hamas, announced on Tuesday that they “lost contact” with the group holding the Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander.
“We lost contact with the group holding soldier Edan Alexander after a bombing that targeted the place where they were, and we continue to try to join them,” said a message broadcast by their spokesperson, Abou Obeida, on Telegram.
It is the only living hostage having the American nationality still retained by the Palestinian Islamist terrorist movement which had broadcast a video of him on Saturday.

“It seems that the occupation army [Israël] deliberately tries to kill him and thus free himself from the pressure caused by the prisoners [otages] with dual nationality in order to continue its genocide against our people, ”adds Abu Obeida.
Alexander, who owns the dual Israeli-American nationality, is a single soldier who was parked near the Gaza Strip on the morning of October 7 when he was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists. Hamas has published two propaganda videos putting Alexander, the last dating from last Saturday.
The Israeli army said it does not lead to the areas where it suspects that hostages are held by Hamas. Military officials have repeatedly said that each strike and land operation in Gaza was carefully planned so as not to endanger the life of Israeli hostages.
