Christine has just learned, the “yes ad” label that she had stuck on her mailbox a few months ago has no use. “If they change their mind every six months or every two years, we no longer know whether to put yes pub or not pub or nothing at all. We are lost”, she said. In certain test areas such as here, the State experienced the ban on distributing advertising leaflets. The only possibility to receive it, affix a label with the mention “Yes Pub” on his mailbox. This is what Françoise did. “I have always liked to watch advertising, She says in the 3 p.m. TF1 report at the top of this article. I find that it gives ideas, and then hey, promotions are still interesting. “
For local shops, this kind of prospectus is still sometimes the best way to sell. “The yes Pub system has limited us, by almost half, our possibilities of being able to inform our customers. It is part of the three quarters of our communication on the sale of our goods. It is really essential, we can really not do without it today”, Reports to our camera Benoît Tostivint, head of the real estate agency Century 21 in Châtelaudren-Plouagat (Côtes-d’Armor). In the same city, Aurélie Henry, co -manager of a household appliance store, also finds a profit: “I think I have won, it’s not huge, but perhaps a dozen customers thanks to the prospectus, you have to attract the eye, I think it’s good.”

“Yes Pub” device: in Dunkirk, the end of the prospectus is not just happy
Good news for these traders, the government has just announced that the experimentation of the system Yes ad will not be extended. As a reminder, this experiment, initiated by the Citizen Convention for the Climate and provided for in the 2021 climate and resilience law, was deployed in 14 communities. But the test was not conclusive according to the Ministry of Ecological Transition: “Given the very contrasting elements resulting from the experimentation and the transition context already at work in matters of advertising, the government does not consider it appropriate to carry a bill proposing the generalization of yes pub”, he says on his website.
The experiment is finally canceled, advertisements will therefore be able to be distributed to everyone again. “They will finish directly in the trash and it’s a shame. We all try to make an effort so that the planet is doing better”regrets a passerby. An ecological argument shared by the community of communes Leff Armor, which would have liked to continue in this direction. “It’s a shame because we saved 250 tonnes of paper, savings in waste too”it is said on the side of the community. In total, this represented for her around 90,000 euros in costs saved.
In France, 600,000 tonnes of prospectus are distributed each year. To refuse them, it must be formally indicated on his mailbox with the mention “stop pub” for example.
