For this last weekend in April all the senior teams of TC Figeac should have played in the Pyrenees championship but an unexpected Puygouzon package put the Figeacoises at forced rest, while offering them three points in the classification.
Espace François Mitterrand, male side, in regional 5, therefore ensured the receptions of Nègrepelisse and Saint-Sulpice. Hervé Lafage, Pierre Charras, François Feilhès and Yanis Taane, snatched the match sheet, 4 to 2, against Tarn-et-Garonnais catchy.
More easily, Clément Bout, Rémi Amato, Loïc Verlinde and Loïc Paquet dominated the Tarnais, 6 to 0. At the level of the regional 2, two trips, a priori very perilous, were made. In Montastruc, Maxime Malbert, Bastien Drouard, Fabien Saint-Gérard and Paul Recoussines consolidated their leader’s place by hardly defeating the Haut-Garonnais, 4 to 2, but in Albi, the resistance of Rémy Mahul, Fabien Mérhy, Thibault Héry and Liam Lafage did not avoided the defeat, 5 to 1, against better classified Tarnais.
Before the last games of the preliminary phase a victory may not be sufficient to maintain this team, but the same performance may well catapult the four other training in the upper division!
