Apple will launch new MacBook Pro models equipped with M5 chips between October and November 2025.

Apple is preparing to launch new MacBook Pro models in the course of the year, equipped with the latest M5 chips. These updates should mainly focus on improving performance rather than significant design changes. The sources indicate a launch window between October and November 2025, which corresponds to the usual exit calendar of Apple products. The new 14 and 16 inch MacBook Pros will probably be equipped with the entire range of M5 chips, from the basic M5 to the powerful M5 max. These chips should be manufactured using the advanced third generation 3NM of TSMC.

Although performance improvements should be moderate, Apple positions the M5 series as a key step in its Apple Silicon roadmap.

This follows the successful launch of the MacBook Air equipped with the M4 in March 2025, which collected a positive reception and stimulated Mac sales. The new MacBook Pro should strengthen Apple’s position on the professional market.

Minor adjustments compared to the previous model

Those who expect a major design of design may have to wait longer. Reports suggest that Apple reserves more substantial hardware improvements, such as thinner chassis and an OLED screen, for a subsequent refreshment, potentially in 2026. The MacBook Pros of this year should keep the Liquid Retina XDR screen and the general design language.

It would also seem that the management of Wi-Fi 7 is introduced to align with the next versions of the iPhone, although this remains to be confirmed. Apple should keep the basic configuration of 16 GB of unified memory introduced with M4 models, reflecting the growing needs in the AI -focused applications.

According to rumors, the new MacBook Pro models should be presented at the same time as the Pro iPad equipped with an M5 chip, also expected during the year. For those who do not need an immediate upgrade, it may be interesting to wait for these new models.
