To work comfortably at home or at the office, a good instructor is essential. The Benq GW2491E may not be the most equipped in its category, but its panel sufficiently large, its 100 Hz refreshment rate or its adjustable foot are enough to store it among the right references. Above all, it has the advantage of not being basic, and on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Amazon even makes him benefit from a discount of 40 euros.

Bright colors content
The Benq GW2491E is a fairly minimalist design monitor, but rather elegant with its very fine borders and its little imposing foot. A base which also allows you to adjust the inclination of the screen, for more comfort. However, we would have liked the height to be adjustable too. Behind the screen, there is also a rather modest connection, but sufficient for most workers: it is made up of an HDMI 1.4 port, a DisplayPort 1.2 and a socket to connect a helmet or a pair of headphones.
At the screen level, we are entitled to an IPS Full HD panel (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) 23.8 inch, which therefore promises very large vision angles and clear images. The diagonal could however prove to be a little just for those who are used to opening a packet of tabs every day. One of the other major advantages of this slab is its 99 % coverage of the SRGB spectrum: the palette of displayed colors is therefore more extensive, and the more realistic content.
A always comfortable reading
The Benq GW2491E also benefits from a 100 Hz refreshment rate, which allows you to enjoy a good fluidity. Movers when you scroll through a page are almost nonexistent, and reading web pages or watching videos are much more pleasant. Occasional gamers will also appreciate, even if the most demanding clearly favor a rate of 144 Hz or higher.
The monitor also has a fairly original mode, called “Epaper Mode”, which gives an “paper” appearance to the content displayed on the screen, as on a reader. Thanks to this technology, prolonged reading on a computer screen is no longer so tiring. Finally, note that Benq offers a rather useful application, “Eye-Care U”, a small assistant who regulates timers to remind you of taking breaks in your work, and who encourages you to correct your posture.
