DUEL COMPARATION: Samsung Galaxy A56 VS Galaxy A55

The Samsung Galaxy A56 and A55 seem almost identical to you? Well, not quite when examining them in detail. Of course, the South Korean has kept most of the design of its 2024 model, and even the 2023 terminal, let’s face it. The latest smartphone always displays a very flat design, inspired by Galaxy S, but this year inaugurates a contrasting photo block, which allows it to be identified within the very large catalog of Samsung.

Aesthetic considerations aside, the Galaxy A56 pays the luxury of being finer than its predecessor with its 7.4 mm, where the A55 measures 8.2 mm. It is barely larger than its elder (162.2 x 77.5 mm against the 161.1 x 77.4 mm of the A55) while its diagonal is 6.7 inches instead of 6.6 inches. In other words, the Galaxy A56 display occupies more space on the facade than that of the A55 (88.01 % instead of 86.10 %). However, the smartphone gained in lightness, culminating in 198 g against the 213 g of the A55.

If the Galaxy A56 is lighter and thinner than its elder, it is for the rest very similar. It thus retains the Gorilla Glass Victus+screen protection, ESIM compatibility and IP67 certification (immersion resistance at 1.30 m for 30 min). The support of WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, already provided by the A55, has not moved an iota. As you can see, the Galaxy A56 wins this first round thanks to its increased finesse and lightness.
