(Keystone-ATS) Espace of meetings, rest or games, stands and circular scene, this structure is the first of the transitional arrangements to take place at the Riponne, announces the city of Lausanne Wednesday in a press release. Some 200 EPFL students will work there for twenty days.
After several months of work of the car park largely sentenced to the place of the Riponne, the realization of the wooden structure coincides with the reopening of an important part of the site. The new development will make it possible to concretely test different uses on the square and may be required to evolve.
Still in the field of transitional arrangements, islets of greenery and a fresco will be installed by the end of 2025. The population will be invited to participate in the realization of a fresco in September 2025, recalls the city.
The winning project for the final transformation of the Place de la Riponne was unveiled on March 1. Entitled “In the sun in the rain” and carried by the RIP on team, it provides vegetated terraces, a large cover, playful spaces, water games and many trees.
