- A humorous video of Fotomuseum Winterthur claims that Switzerland is only an illusion.
- The artist Karpi uses artificial intelligence to create surrealist scenes from the country.
- The Matterhorn would be an extraterrestrial pyramid connected to bionic marmots.
- The Swiss would be paid actors to dive foreign tourists.
What if Switzerland did not exist? This is what a video posted a few days ago on YouTube claims. Sets manufactured Informatically, a population made of actresses and actors recruited for this gigantic geographic staging: the Swiss Confederation would be only an invention to deceive the entire planet. What? Our country therefore turns out to be the largest hoax in the XXIe century? Obviously no, rest assured.
The video in question, seen from tens of thousands of times and abundantly shared on social networks, is a humorous work concocted by the German artist A box, in collaboration with the Photo Museum Winterthur. The institution, which reopens its doors on May 17, wanted to mark the occasion with this iconoclastic project with words … Unfortunately very in tune with the times.

Patrick Karpiczenko, alias Karpi, has used generative artificial intelligence to design many of the scenes of his video, including opening, where we discover Donald Trumpsitting at his office White housedeclaring that he will “buy Switzerland, because, anyway, it is not a Real country”. The character played by Karpi then takes over, taking on the role of a conspiratorial influencer, in an attempt to demonstrate that the Confederation is a long -maintained illusion to fry observers.
“The objective was to treat the dangers of disinformation and fake news in an entertaining and satirical way, in order to reach an audience as wide as possible,” says Karpi. The sources of artistic inspiration for the video include the false conspiracy theory “Birds Aren’t Real”, the Reddit community “Switzerland is Fake” and the “F for Fake” test by Orson Welles. “
The Swiss too are a plot
The shape of Truck? Far too singular to be geologically possible: it houses a pyramid built by aliens. The snow of the summits? Far too white to be honest. Postcard landscapes? Idyllic sets out of the imagination of a very efficient AI. And the author of the video to question the reality of Swiss chocolate – the cocoa does not even grow in Europe, let’s see – like that of Nemoa digital character.
The Tervin would house a pyramid built by extraterrestrials and connected to bionic marmots, laughs the video.

Okay, but the Swiss then? “Germans to whom we would have given funny hats,” laughs the video. Moreover, our country would in fact be an outgrowth of theAustria, Inhabited by actors paid to play the locals, where we would enjoy getting tourists to make fun of them by looking at their reactions.
Behind all this diabolical scheme, the King of Sweden would be in controls to control the financial systems and have time control thanks to the watches. Burlesque and hilarious, the video aims above all to remind us how much we bathe in fake news and conspiracy theories, especially since AI allows you to show almost anything. The proof, still smiles Karpi.
