Whether you are a follower of a cool vacation, a book in hand, or stays punctuated by sports activities, the Alps deserve that we are interested in them. Generally seen as a flagship destination when it comes to sliding sports, even in the middle of summer, as many activities are available to the lucky ones who go there. Here is a guide to things to do if you want to stay active during your stay.
From Mont-Rose to Matterhorn via Lac Blanc, in France as in Switzerland, Alpes are a real paradise for those who like to venture on the paths that cross the massif. The landscapes are fantastic, there is something for all levels, and in case of small fatigue, one can avoid part of the elevation thanks to the many ski lifts usually reserved for skiers. If all this is not full enough for you (if you do the Tour du Grand Veymont, you still have it for 8 hours), you can also turn to the trail and travel the paths while running. And to push the cursor thoroughly, with the multiple shelters available, why not completely go in Trek of several days?
For those who prefer to pedal and swallow the kilometer, the Alps are a privileged playground. Besides, if the Tour de France pass so often by The Alpe d’Huezit’s not for nothing. On the road, there is something to do with the legendary Viarhôna from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean. If your appetite is less substantial, you can also enjoy the banks of Lake Constance.
Side VTTBetween the 2 Alps, Serre Chevalier or the Gets and the Seizures, a crazy elevation is offered to you. For less brutal walks, you can also venture on Mount Ventoux, but overall, as English speakers say: “The limit is the sun”.

From the 2 Alps, Serre-Ponçon, Verbier or Vallouise-Pelvoux, we can practice the paraglider Whatever its level. Obviously, we strongly advise you not to try to imitate Valentin DELLUC, Peace the joint and others.
To take advantage of the landscapes, you can also try the ULM adventure from Annecy or Geneva.

If you are more earth on earth and you are not dizzy, without storming the contra -contra Red Bull Dual Ascentyou can do superb climbing sessions in the Alps. Orpierre for example, a small village of 319 inhabitants (yes, it’s precise), welcomes enthusiasts all year round who come to make their fingers and forearms on the cliffs that surround the agglomeration. The Céüse mountain is also part of the pantheon of the monuments of the French climb, and on the Swiss side, the Riffelhorn makes it possible to tackle all types of difficulties, while offering a breathtaking view of the Tervin.
For those who prefer to rely on constructions mixing scales, cables and others, we can also travel many (and magnificent) Vias Ferratas like the big fistory on the French side, the via Moléson in the Bernese Alps. Visiting the Alps and not doing a zip line would still be a shame.
The cruise has fun

We change elements by going to aquatic activities. Whether you want to row aboard a canoe or explore some of the most beautiful canyons in the world, the Alps offer a myriad of possibilities, both sides of the border. In Switzerland, the Canton of Ticino is full of magnificent canyons that it is possible to discover during group sessions, and even if the area is emblematic, it is not the only place where canyoning can take place. In France, the Maglia canyon, in the Southern Alps, and those of Rio Dourd in Drôme and Furon in the Vercors also often welcome visitors.
For the raftingfrom Savoy to Hautes-Alpes, the whole mountain range is punctuated by rivers which are a fantastic playground for those who wish to sail in bright waters. Doron, Guisane, Isère, Drac, Somme, Rhin, Sarine … There is something to have fun!
We were talking ici The best stations in France to indulge in the toboggan, but even in summer, there is a way to hit the slopes at high speed. Well, the toboggan on rail is more or less the alpine equivalent of the roller coaster, so in terms of physical effort, it is not the top. On the other hand, in terms of sensations, it is the summit. To discover this activity, go (among others) to the seizures, at 7 LAUX or to the menuires.
We are hardly more chill than the paddle

With its multitude of lakes, each more magnificent than each other, not surprisingly, the paddle is an activity to do absolutely. Léman, Serre-Ponçon, Bourget, Lauvitel, Brienz, Klöntal … The list could be long like the arm, and whatever your choice, you can enjoy unforgettable landscapes.
If you want to imitate your heroes, from Loïc Bruni to Oriane Bertone via Primož Roglič, the Alps are a good starting point.
