This Monday, the Minister of Vocational Training, Moustapha Njëkk Sarré, was received by the Khalife General of the Mourides with a large delegation. He came to present the Daara-Atelier project to him in Serigne Mountakha Mbacké.
Daara-Atelier is an innovative project launched by the Government of Senegal. Its objective is to provide vocational training to each student attending a Koranic school, commonly known as DAARA.
This Monday, the Minister of Vocational Training had the honor to present this project to the Khalife General of the Mourides.
“The President of the Republic aims to ensure that all those who are in the daaras, the talibés can have a job at the end of their learning,” he said. To this end, he explained that the couture, cold and air conditioning trades, automotive mechanics, wood carpentry, agrifood transformation, construction, among other sectors that are in the economy are the targeted.
After having exhibited the project at the Khalife General, the latter gave instruction to the mayor of Touba to find him an adequate site to accommodate the workshop. “We are going to work closely with the mayor and in a few days, we will actually find this site,” he said.
Moustapha Njëkk Sarré has also announced that he will go to religious homes across the country to present this project to them. “Touba, Kaolack, Tivaouane, Médina Gounas, so all religious homes will be the subject of this presentation visit,” he said.
