This Sunday, April 13, no morning in the morning for the Cadillacais. And for good reason, the Athletic Union Cadillac Rugby (UAC), resident of the regional 3 promotion championship, played at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, his terroir final against AS Lacanau. An opponent that Cadillac knew well for having already faced him twice this season: a defeat in the first leg (12-8), a victory on the return (24-14). But this April 13 will remain a historic date for UAC, which has won the third round by winning brilliantly in the terroir final against the Canais, on the score from 17 to 7.
Wolves have won over a widely deserved title, the fruit of a total commitment throughout the season. This success is obviously that of the players, who have worn Cadillac’s colors high with heart, fighting spirit and solidarity. It is also that of the coaches, Christophe Mingnette, Jean-Baptiste Fraignieau and Vincent Moulin, discreet and essential craftsmen of this adventure. Thanks to their expertise, their passion and their requirement, they were able to build a united and ambitious group.
Starting point
This shield, which will undoubtedly find a place of first choice at the UAC clubhouse, also belongs to the volunteers, club pillars whose dedication is a precious force, as well as to the supporters, who accompanied the players wherever they were going this season, with an unshakable fervor. For President Pascal Laurent, this trophy is a reward, but also a starting point. It marks the end of a chapter and the opening of a new one. Cadillac has the objective of (re) becoming a solid, regular club, and in this sense, this title is a great spotlight for this team which has ambition.
To continue to progress and grow, UAC is looking for reinforcements (1): volunteers, partners, but also players for all categories, from the smallest to seniors.
