The legendary tranquility of the city Khalifa Ababacar Sy, nestled in Keur Ndiaye Lo, shattered on Sunday, April 13. An icing crime, with still blurred contours, came to upset the daily life of this usually peaceful district. Kindy Ba, a 36 -year -old cleaning lady, was found brutally murdered in the house of her employers. Since then, stupor and fear have settled.
According to the information reported by the observer, it was the mother of the victim herself who made the macabre discovery in the early evening. Not seeing her come back as usual, she went to her daughter’s home where a horror scene was waiting for her: Kindy Ba was lying in a pool of blood, stabbed several times, especially around the neck. An incredible, free violence that even the gendarmes of the Sangalkam brigade, accustomed to horror, called “targeted and relentless”.
Kindy Ba, from Pita in Guinea, had lived in Senegal for several years. Widow, mother of two, she shared a modest roof with her mother, whom she supported financially thanks to her job as a cleaning lady, which she had been occupied for only three months. Sunday morning, faithful to her punctuality, she presented herself with her employers who were to be absent all day. No one suspected that it would be the last time we would see her alive.
The investigation, entrusted to the gendarmerie of Sangalkam, is now oriented towards a much darker mobile than that of a simple flight. The observer specifies that nothing was carried away in the house, immediately dismissing this hypothesis. On the other hand, the indices on the spot – ambient disorder, traces of struggle, multiple wounds – suggests an attempted rape having turned badly.
The two employers of Kindy Ba were heard in the first hours of the investigation, as well as several other people. The autopsy, practiced at Idrissa Pouye Hospital in Grand Yoff, should bring clarification on the exact circumstances of the death.
