A terrible outcome. The lifeless body of Agathe Hilairet, a 28-year-old young woman who disappeared Thursday, April 10 near Vivonne, in Vienne, was found in an undergrowth, said the public prosecutor of Poitiers, Cyril Lacombe, this Monday, May 5.
“The autopsy carried out today has not made it possible to determine, at this stage, the causes of the death,” the prosecutor said in a press release. “Several additional analyzes are underway to continue the investigations,” added Cyril Lacombe.
According to our information, the young woman’s body was found on Sunday, at the end of the day, by a walker in an undergrowth, located south of the investigators’ research zone. An element confirmed by the public prosecutor of Poitiers, who said that the body “was in an undergrowth on the outskirts of research zones”, south of the town of Vivonne.
Significant means deployed
On April 10, the young woman left her parents’ home, located in Vivonne (a town located about twenty km south of Poitiers), around 10:30 am, for a two -hour jog. Quickly, an investigation had been opened for “disturbing disappearance”.
In the following days, significant resources had been set up to try to find it, with cynophile teams, many gendarmes, soldiers, civil protection members, helicopters and drones. Purchase teams were also called to probe the surrounding rivers on Saturday.
Vivonne’s running club, to which Agathe belonged, had also offered valuable information for the investigation, such as the paths that the young woman was used to taking. A call for witnesses, published the day after his disappearance, had also made it possible to collect several depositions.
