Due to Eastern Styria and the southern Burgenland, a storm is currently drawing, which in addition to hail around the three centimeters also has storm gusts in its luggage. As the “Austrian Storm Center” reports, gusts were measured in Fürstenfeld at 81 km/h. “The greatest risk of severe weather is currently between Feldbach and Güssing,” it is finally explained in a Facebook post.

“With us it is hailing properly”

Meanwhile, photos and videos are shared in the comments, which show how it works in the southeast of Austria. Especially in and around Bad Blumau, it may have been particularly hollowed, white meadows are often seen there. But there is also a lot going on in the affected areas in Burgenland, as a woman writes: “With us in Heiligenkreuz in the Lafnitztal, it is hailing properly.”

“Beware of heavy rain, gusts of wind and hail”

“Skywarn Austria” also warns of the storm on Facebook and even speaks of a “super cell”. This would have formed in the Weizer Bergland and would excrete to the east or southeast. The experts warn of “heavy rain, gusts of wind and hail”.
