Cryotherapy, a “cold therapy” technique, is supposed to improve muscle recovery or relieve certain pain. It consists in exposing the body to extreme temperatures, sometimes lower than -110 ° C, for a few minutes in cabins filled with nitrogen.
But its use in the gym raises questions. The Court of Cassation recently recalled that cryotherapy can only be practiced by a doctor, failing which it is an illegal exercise in medicine.
