




The prices of tomatoes and cucumbers are currently in the five -year average. Last week, the average price for sales at the dial of the Belgian horticultural cooperative federation fell slightly. The prices of peppers are also down, but they are still much higher than the five -year average.
The kilo of loose tomatoes cost an average of € 1.64 during week 14, all that of the clusters amounted to € 1.74.
The average unit price of cucumber was 34.5 cents of €.
Regarding peppers, red (€ 2.69/kg), green (€ 1.06/kg) and yellow (€ 3.09/kg) prices are decreasing to the five -year average.
The prices of asparagus, strawberries and lettuces increased slightly last week. Sunny weather stimulates demand for these products. At the same time, the volumes of greenhouse vegetables increase significantly.
For strawberries, an average of € 7.22/kg was paid during week 14. For the first time since week 11, the price does not drop.
The packaged white asparagus left on average at € 15.04/kg during VBT sales weekdays 14. Bulk, the price was € 12.43/kg.
For lettuce, the price increases, up to 44.3 cents per unit. Prices also go up for green and red oak sheets as well as for the Lollo Bionda de Serre. The prices of the Lollo Rossa and the Multicolored Lettuce fall.
