The Directorate General for National Security (DGSN) published an important statement on Wednesday to deny information widely relayed in recent hours on social networks. According to several pages and sites, an individual would have immune by fire due to ill -treatment and harassment exercised by police officers under a regional national security.
The DGSN claims that this is false information and specifies that the author of this rumor admitted having deliberately disseminated these false allegations on his personal account. The objective of this manipulation: to stir up tensions and draw public opinion against the security institution.
-Seizure of the case, the prosecution authorized the opening of a judicial inquiry against the respondent. This was placed in police custody for “using Internet networks and social media in the dissemination of false news, data or rumors in order to undermine the rights of others and public security”.
The investigations continue to determine the possible ramifications of this attempted disinformation.
