On April 14, 2025, Jennie went on the stage of the Outdoor Theater to Coachella for her very first solo performance. From the first minutes, a large crowd gathered. Like Lisa the day before, Jennie arrived alone on stage. Very quickly, the atmosphere became electric and social networks exploded.

Fans expected a lot of her, especially after the release of her album “Ruby”. Before Coachella, she had shared videos of backstage rehearsals, which had made the wait even more.
His five evenings “The Ruby Experience” had already impressed many people. Some even said that it was “the best of K-Pop”.
For the occasion, Jennie wore a red outfit inspired by the Cow-Girl style. This color brought out her hair, makeup and silhouette. From the first song, she removed parts of her outfit, which immediately made the public react.

She started the show with “filter” and not with “solo” as some were waiting for. She then sang “mantra”, “handlebars”, “start a war” and other titles of “Ruby”.
The songs were in a remixed version, with a calm atmosphere, very different from a concert full of energy. This choice surprised a lot of fans.
During “Mantra”, she jumped important parts of rap, which was noticed online. She also drew a lot on the recorded voices, which gave a weaker effect live. Many fans hoped for more significant performance.
Some thought that she was going to show her rapper’s talent, but that was not the case. The scene seemed empty and lacked dynamism.
In comparison, Lisa had delivered a full of energy the day before. For many, Jennie’s performance was pretty to see, but not powerful enough.
The songs like “FTS” asked for a lot of votes and the fans found that his performance was not very stable.

She also counted a lot on the soundtrack for singing. At one point, she shouted “Sing with me”but the public remained calm. The atmosphere has not really changed.
A highlight of the concert was the surprise arrival of Kali Uchis to sing “Damn Right” with her. It was one of the only unexpected moments in the show.
Towards the end, Jennie sang a medley with “Extral”, “Way Up (with the IE)” and “Like Jennie”. This part brought more dance and visual effects.

She finished with the song “Starlight”. His concert was beautiful to look at, but some found it weak in the song, dance and presence on stage. Many of fans give their opinion online.
Some fans think that Jennie did not have enough time to prepare. With the promotion of “Ruby”, his schedule was surely too busy.
Coachella’s second weekend is approaching and many hope that she will show another facet of her on stage.
And you, what do you think of the criticisms addressed to the solo performance from Jennie to Coachella?
