War reporter and director, Antoine Novat takes advantage of his foot-to-earth on the set to offer the Documentary Film Festival from April 16 to 19 in Argences-en-Aubrac.

War reporter and director of “war rapporteurs” at the end of the last millennium, Antoine Novat takes advantage of his pied-à-terre on Aubrac to offer the Film Documentary Festival. “For the past two years, we have been working on this project which is part of the territory to share my passion for documentary film”, known as Antoine Novat who offers ten films to discover until April 19 at the Cultural Center of Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence.

Create exchange, reflection

The festival begins this Wednesday, April 16, from 6.30 pm in front of the Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence cultural center, to share a drink and taste the tapas of Jean-François Ferrié, just to appear before the projection at 8:30 pm of “Nanouk l’esquimau”. This 1922 film will be accompanied by the virtuosos Anne Le Bozec and Alain Meunier to bring an artistic desire to the festival which offers nine other recent documentaries including three turned in the region related to the environment and solidarity. This last point makes sense for Antoine Novat who, “wishes to create the exchange, to take the time to think, in face -to -face. We bring a proposal and we insist that the director is present to exchange.” And to add: “People are in demand for documentary films, in connection with reality, because they are watered topical on social networks. We can no longer distinguish the true from the false.”

Raymond Depardon, Agnès Varda, and especially Alain Cavalier for his portraits are among the mentors of Antoine Novat who is delighted to have mobilized volunteers, living forces of the territory, municipality and region “for this modest meeting.”

Meet from April 17 to April 19 with three projections at 2 p.m., 5 p.m., 9 p.m. including “Le Chant des Vivants” shot in Conques in the presence of director Cécile Allégra. What discuss the place of humanity.
