“Everyone falls back in childhood and bought what they had”, collectors and enthusiasts are found in a fairground in Loiret

The Puiseaux motorcycle scholarship, north of the Loiret, is an opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to plunge back into their childhood. It is also a possibility to do good deals and prolong the life of motorcycles which are sometimes almost a hundred years old.

Stroll for the pleasure of mechanics or in research the rare object. The exhibitors of this thirtieth motorcycle puise grant may be full of small nuggets. Basically bins, used pieces, old for some, bound for collectors or enthusiasts relying on old machines.

This is the case of Benjamin who came with his son. “Everyone back in childhood and what they had. I retape an old moped to find my youth. We do it for two, with the kid, it’s super nice, it’s passion”he says all smiles. He misses a few pieces to finalize his project. “It’s very hard to find. Everyone is looking for small pieces”continues the father.

These visitors would probably find their happiness on the internet. But with these bikers, a piece is chosen by hand, not in the mouse. “We never expect us to find on a scholarship. It also allows you to meet all the friends in the region”estimates Jean Caillou.

The second hand appears to be a real economy in the environment. “We are completely opposite to what is going on in society today, a consumer company where we throw our estimates Frédéric Marchal, 72, a collector and passionate about motorcycles and vintage cars. “This is the case on electric cars where we do not imagine an eco -responsible future on these products. With vehicles over a hundred years old, we are able to restart”he continues.

This year, more than 3000 visitors have crisscrossed the aisles of the Motorcycle Bourse de Puiseaux, bringing an aging but still alive mechanical heritage to life.
