Launched, La Bonneville is a devastating motorcycle with its single -seater saddle under which a short shock absorber is hidden. Round headlight, long polished exhausts, ray wheels, “false” carbus: the triumph throws in its original configuration which delivers 78 hp via its bicylinder of 1200 cc (illustration).
But it was not enough for Jody Millhouse, founder and manager of Thornton Hunged – also known as the name “TH Works“. This pharmacy based in Milton Keynes (Great Britain), in the heart of the” Motorsport Valley “, made itself known for its preparations on the basis of Triumph, particularly its T120s made tailor -made. But the approach goes – a lot – further with this Evo Bobber…
Here, Thornton Hundred is not content to modify a motorcycle but practically to create one. His Evo Bobber is reworked from A to Z to ultimately keep only the original silhouette! First, the power of the parallel twin is increased to 120 hp: it is 42 hp more than the serial model. Impressive ! Cammers, valve lifted, mobile crew, segmentation, injection, exhaust: everything is revised compared to the original block, including boosted intake with K&N filter, box and clutch.
And you can count on Th Works to guarantee reliability, since they have been refining the Evo Bobber for eight years. The work does not stop there: the dressing, the wheels and the fuel tank are in carbon, while titanium invites itself here and there. The gain? “”It is 80 kg lighter than origin and 126 kg lighter than Harley Fat Bob“, assure Thornton Hundred !
Jody Millhouse and his team re-from their own tubular framework, with more incisive geometry and admirably produced welds. Ditto for the “house” collectors that lead to the Arrow in titanium silencer. At the same time, the Evo Bobber receives sports peripherals: the original telescopic fork gives way to an inverted model from K-Tech, while a dedicated shock absorber takes place under the new saddle in Alcantara (gallery).
This K-Tech shock absorber presents a visually larger race than the original version, in accordance with the will of Thornton Hunged who wanted to improve the dynamism and comfort of the Bobber. Note the replacement of 2-piston calipers with robust 4-piston radial clips, coming from Hell, with petal discs. The handlebars, levers and footrests are also changed.
This Evo Bobber has been produced on demand – and by hand – since the summer of 2024 with a target of 25 units. Its price is 44,500 euros, or just under 30,000 euros additional compared to the original (€ 16,345). For the record, Triumph also produced a factory prep: the.
