The Grand Prix of Qatar 2025 turned into a nightmare for Jorge Martín, back on track after a long absence for injury. The Spaniard was the victim of a heavy fall in the 14th round of the main race, then struck by Fabio Di Giannantonio. The medical record was worrying: eleven fractured ribs and thoracic trauma with the presence of blood and air in the pleural cavity, requiring emergency intervention.
After being taken care of on the circuit, Jorge Martín was transferred to the Hamad General hospital in Doha. The doctors carried out chest drainage to allow the right lung to re -expand, an essential step before considering any transfer. After a few days in the hospital, Aprilia came to the news.

While waiting for her return, Aprilia announced that Lorenzo Savadori will replace Jorge Martín at the next Grand Prix to date in Jerez. Jorge Martin will therefore miss his national meeting to try to recover as quickly as possible.
