Exports of craft products in Marrakech jumped 24% in the 1st quarter of 2025, in annual shift. According to data from the Regional Directorate of Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy of Marrakech-Safi, this progression is mainly attributed to the increase in exports of carpets, copper products, as well as jewelry and jewelry items.
More than half of the exported products are carpets, ceramic and stone items, and copper objects.
In detail, carpets position themselves at the top of exports with 30%of the total, followed by ceramics and stone items (15%) and copper (13%). Carpet exports increased by 79%, followed by copper objects (+66%) and jewelry products (+58%), compared to the 1st quarter of 2024. In addition, the United States constitutes the first destination of these products with a share of 44%of exports over this period, followed by France (18%) and Spain (11%).
