Morocco contributes to electric recovery in Spain; Pedro Sánchez expresses his gratitude

The President of the government, Pedro Sánchez, expressed, on Monday, April 28, his bright gratitude to and France, whose assistance made it possible to partially restore the power supply in several provinces of , affected by a generalized interruption of the network.

In a , Pedro Sánchez praised the “Acting solidarity” of the two friendly countries, adding that “Electric interconnections with France and Morocco” played a decisive role in the progressive restoration of the current, after a failure which at 10:30 am, universal time, affecting the entire Iberian Peninsula.

The head of the Spanish executive wanted to thank “warmly” Rabat and Paris for their fraternal competition, while stressing that“No conclusive information” was not at this stage available as to the causes of this large -scale incident.

The Government has summoned a crisis unit to coordinate recovery operations, which the Spanish electrical network manager (REE) plans to complete within six to ten .
