Microsoft’s Moroccan expert simplifies administration

During the third edition of the Gitex Africa show, one of the largest technological events on the continent, a 100 % initiative particularly attracted attention: the launch of the “Waraqi” application, developed by Tarik Fadli, a strong Moroccan entrepreneur of a experience acquired in particular in the States at Microsoft.

Originally from , Tarik Fadli spent several years in the United States, where he has held positions of responsibility within the Microsoft company. With this international journey, he returns today with a clear ambition: contributing to the digital transformation of the kingdom.

“We have signed an agreement with the Ministry of Digital Transition to deploy our application Directionan innovative solution that allows Moroccan citizens to access several remote administrative services, without having to move to administrations, ”he explains.

Currently used by more than 33,000 people, Direction presents itself as an intuitive platform which allows sign up electronically documents, Send in PDF formatwhile guaranteeing their authenticity thanks to the integration of digital identity.

“Thanks to the digital identity, no one can falsify or sign a document for you. It is a of security, confidence and time saving. We want to build a secure and effective Moroccan digital ecosystem, ”adds Fadli.

The objective of the founder is clear: democratize access to online public serviceslighten the pressure on administrations, and accompany the momentum of digitalization that Morocco is experiencing. The application also aims to expand its field of action to other sectors, including the bank and universities.
