The General Confederation of Businesses of (CGEM) and Endeavor Maroc, in partnership with Inwi and Cih Bank, organized a side event within the framework of the Gitex Africa 2025, which brought together influential decision -makers, business angels, as well as entrepreneurs with high potential from the strategic markets of the MENA region.

This event, which has experienced the participation of the AMDIE, is part of the dynamics driven by the roadmap of the CGEM Tech ecosystems commission, which makes the rise of digital a national priority, underline the two parties in a joint press release.

The ambition is clear, stimulating the development of technological startups, attracting high -level talents and strengthening Morocco’s competitiveness by increasing digital share in GDP by 5% by 2030.

To achieve this, the Commission works to improve the business environment for startups, to facilitate their access to public and private markets, and to the establishment of a real culture of innovation.

This is also reflected in targeted meetings between startups and large companies, pitch sessions and quality networking events, the same source said.

Speaking on this occasion, the president of CGEM, Chakib Alj noted that “the edition of this side event was a real success, several startups began discussions which led to fundraising, commercial contracts were signed, and partnerships were launched between and international companies”.

“At the CGEM, creating business opportunities is part of our DNA, especially in a sector as strategic as tech. With the 2030 in 2030 and the Cup as a catalyst, we want to welcome the world in a fully digital Morocco, ”he said.

This meeting is a continuation of the 2024 edition, during which Endeavor Maroc and the CGEM had already gathered key figures of the regional tech ecosystem in .

In the process, Endeavor Morocco, represented by its president Ilan Benhaim, led a strategic mission to Egypt and Arabia, aimed at strengthening regional synergies, to structure access to markets for Moroccan entrepreneurs, and to create the growth conditions conducive to the emergence of the Scale-UPS.

The exchanges carried out in Cairo and Riyadh have highlighted strong complementarities between the ecosystems of these countries and that of Morocco, positioning the latter as a natural and strategic technological hub at the crossroads of , Africa and the MENA region. In Saudi Arabia, where massive investment in innovation redefines global standards, as in Egypt, where companies seek to get closer to Europe and Africa, Morocco appears as a reliable, attractive and visionary partner.

One of the major lessons in this mission, noted Benhaim, is that success in these markets involves a strategic local presence, solid relationships and coherent integration in target ecosystems.

Present in more than 45 countries, Endeavor has been supporting high impact entrepreneurs for 27 years at each stage of their development. Thanks to its global network of more than 2,900 entrepreneurs, the organization has contributed to the creation of 80 unicorns valued at more than a billion dollars. Through its co-investment fund, Endeavor Catalyst, it has made more than 300 investments in 37 markets, with a portfolio of 59 unicorns and more than $ 500 million in management.

Founded in 2014, Endeavor Maroc continues this dynamic by playing an engine role in the structuring of the national entrepreneurial ecosystem, while attracting the attention of international investors to high potential Moroccan nuggets.
