The name of Stéphane Plaza, about to disappear? Half. This Wednesday, April 16, 2025, Jean-Marc Morandini announced an important meeting to come, which was going to determine the future of the franchisees of the real estate agencies Stéphane Plaza.
Many of these franchisees have been concerned for a few months, and in particular since the condemnation of the acolyte of Karine Le Marchand for domestic violence, which appealed the court decision and which therefore remains presumed innocent. Some of them no longer wanted to be attached to the host. And obviously, they won.
Franchisees can change their names
Gilles Charron, the president of Stéphane Plaza France, has just given an interview to the Figaro. With our colleagues, he indicated that a new brand was going to see the light of day: “Sixth avenue”. “Each franchisee is free to choose between each brand according to its market and customers”announced the president of Stéphane Plaza France.
A meeting took place at 4 p.m. this Thursday, April 17, 2025. This made it possible to exchange with the franchisees and make a decision to satisfy the majority. Indeed, if some wanted to change their names, others wanted to keep that of the real estate agent and animator of M6.
To meet everyone’s expectations, Management has decided to offer a solution that meets everyone’s expectations. In fact, the 527 network agencies will have the choice between two brands. Either, keep the name “Stéphane Plaza Immobilier”either opt for the new brand that will see the light of day “Sixth avenue”.
Stéphane Plaza remains “involved” in the group
“This new brand, which will bear the name of sixth avenue, will be launched in early May. The initial name remains and sixth avenue is independent and autonomous while being complementary”explains Gilles Charron.
The president of the group nevertheless specifies that Stéphane Plaza remains “Exclusively involved in Stéphane Plaza Immobilier (it has 25% of the network shares, editor’s note). The name of this new brand is a nod to M6 (the M6 group holds 51% of the shares of the Stéphane Plaza Immobilier network, editor’s note) which remains than ever engaged in the network.”
