As part of the audiovisual pact, the SSR invests 34 million francs in the production of Swiss films and series. In 2024, she financially supported 220 film films, series and multimedia productions.
Half of the 220 films are productions for cinema: 44 documentaries, 27 animated films, 21 fictions and 18 short fiction films, the SSR said on Tuesday. These 110 projects represent half of all co -productions in Switzerland.
The key role of SSR in the promotion of Swiss cinema
The SSR is, with the Federal Office of Culture, the “main promoter of Swiss cinematographic creation”, writes the Swiss broadcasting and television company. The SSR does not assume all of the project financing, but still intervenes as a co -producer.
-Of the 34 million francs made available by the SSR in 2024, 20 million went to television and multimedia, 10 million in movie and animation films and 4 million are reserved for bonuses (antenna passage). Aid to the cinema concerns films still in development (32 in 2024), the actual production of films (160 projects) and dubbing (28 projects).
The audiovisual pact: a sustainable co -production agreement
The SSR invests in Swiss cinematographic creation as part of the Audiovisual pact. This co -production agreement has existed since 1996 between the SSR and the independent Swiss cinematographic branch. It was renewed in 2024 with a validity period until 2027.
