An initiative of hope has just been launched for young adults with cancer in Outaouais. Thanks to a donation of $ 25,000 from the Louis-Philippe January, the Outaouais Health Foundation has set up a brand new repair fund for 18 to 35 years. Three young people from the region have already taken advantage of it, including Katya Charron, 19, mother of a 9 month old baby. Émilie January, sister of Louis-Philippe, explains that this gesture allows to continue the mission of his brother, who died of cancer at 26, and to concretely relieve the daily life of young patients like Katya, by offering them direct financial assistance. The fund is accessible through nursing staff, who identifies patients in need. Precious support for young adults who must face the disease while assuming heavy responsibilities.
