At the initiative of the Departmental Council and, more specifically, the “Pyrenees ambition” service as well as the CCPTM (community of communes of the Pays de Trie and Magnoac), fifteen medical interns came to discover the territory of Magnoac.
They were received by the departmental advisor and mayor of Castelnau Bernard Verdier, the president of the CCPTM Gérard Barthe, the deputy mayor of Castelnau Pierre Abadie and Alain Majourau. The head of the animation of the territorial project, Mélissa Musial, and the director of CCPTM services, Jean-Marc Nadal, also counted among those who welcomed future doctors. They will exercise as of right in one or two years, depending on the case.
-This day “Hapy Health” gave visitors a fairly complete image of a territory little known in the department. In the morning, they traveled the ex-Canton, on electric skiers provided by the company Auscitaine “Quad Concept”. They visited Monléon, Ariès-Espénan, the aerodrome, Castelnau and the weekly market to find themselves on the shores of the lake at lunchtime. An enticing buffet, cooked by Noémie from the caterer Les Parriquets, awaited them. It was time to make a first point and, above all, to meet Mathieu Teste, dental surgeon, installed in Castelnau for two years, with his wife, also a dental surgeon. He told young doctors that they were in Castelnau by choosing the couple, notably highlighting good human contacts and quality of life. These words of a young health professional in the beautiful site of the sunny lake certainly had a very positive range.
Nursing home
In the afternoon, resumption of the circuit to discover the health house. Visitors were received there by Gilles Plantat, general practitioner, on the eve of retirement, who has completed his entire career in Castelnau. This new interview and the prospect of group exercise within a modern structure again scored good points for the Magnoac. The day ended with a debriefing in Cizos where the interns discovered the cinema. A little memory of their stay in Magnoac was offered to them.
The seed is planted, can it germinate. The Magnoac has shown its advantages and its true face, without eyeshadow, he hopes that they will have seduced one or more of these young doctors and that he will come, or that they will come, soon, enrich the local medical offer.
