But in 2028, they know that if they play well together, then they could find themselves on the podium at the Olympic Games of summer.
This week, the Executive Council of the International Olympic Committee approved the addition of a mixed golf team test on the Olympic Los Angeles Games program in 2028. This will be added to the individual tests, and it will be inserted after the male component, but before the female component.
Henderson, who participated in the Olympic Games three times, told the Canadian press that she is “very proud” to have been able to represent Canada at the Olympic Games. The addition of a mixed team test is a beautiful showcase for golf, she added.
“It adds a certain anticipation, and a new dynamic in golf,” said Henderson.

The Golfus of Smiths Falls, Ontario, ended equally in seventh position at the Rio de Janeiro Games in 2016, equal in 29e Place in Tokyo in 2021, and ex aequo at 13e rank last year in Paris.
Henderson and Conners, which is also part of the Canadian Golf team for a long time, have played together in the last two years at the Grant Thornton invitations – a three -round mixed team tournament that brings together the best golfers of PGA and LPGA circuits in December.
The Canadian duo finished second in 2023 and equally in fourth position in 2024, in particular because of their formidable efficiency in the aisles.
“I have already played with Corey at the Tournament by invitations Grant Thornton and we have obtained very good results, so this new test will offer us another opportunity to return to the country with a neck medal,” summed up Henderson.
The mixed team competition will total 36 holes: 18 holes according to the alternating blows formula, and 18 holes in two balls, best ball.
There will be a maximum of a mixed team per country, and these pairs will be made up of golfers who are already qualified for individual events at the Olympic Games.
