Djamel Mansri, a figure of organized crime, was arrested on Saturday April 12, in Chevilly-Larue (Val-de-Marne) on the A86 motorway by the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI). He was blocked in a traffic jam, when he left in Spain, learned Franceinfo from a source close to the file, Wednesday, April 16. He is suspected of having robbed two banks in Nièvre. The money was to be used to import cocaine.
Very well known in the world of banditry, Djamel Mansri had been monitored for two years by the judicial police (PJ) of Versailles. Investigators caused a traffic jam on the A86 to arrest it, while the suspect went to Spain.
He is suspected of having robbed two banks in Nièvre in just under a month: 150,000 euros in an agricultural credit in Nevers, April 8 and 8,000 euros in a postal bank in Myennes on March 22. Regarding the latter of the searches took place in the Loire at the current home of the couple and in the Nièvre in the couple’s former home, from Nevers. According to information from “here Auxerre”, the alleged accomplice couple, “has very close links” with Djamel Mansri and is “Disapporably known by justice for many facts of scams”.
