A fire also started in the hall of a building in which a prison supervisor lives near the penitentiary center of Meaux-Chaucon-Neufmontiers (Seine-et-Marne), learned BFMTV. A DDPF inscription, for the group “Defense of French prisoners”, was found on the wall of the hall of the building. It was this group that claimed on social networks the previous attacks perpetrated against prisons.

On BFMTV, Emmanuel Chambaud, secretary general of UFAP UNSA Justice, said that the vehicle of a staff representative of the Aix-Luynes penitentary center (Bouches-du-Rhône) was also burnt down in front of his home.

Darmanin denounces attempts to “destabilize the state”

Asked about these new attacks, Gérald Darmanin estimated on Europe 1/CNews that there are “obviously people who try to destabilize the state by intimidating it”.

“They do it because we take measures against laxity that perhaps existed so far in the prisons that has led our country to extremely serious difficulties, drug networks that continue from prison cells, we order assassinations, we whiten money, we threaten police, magistrates, penitentiary agents, and we move as the case of Mr. Amra.” the Minister of Justice.

According to him, the authors of these attacks “try to see if the state will go back”. “You have to take things with firmness, calm and determination,” he added.

The national anti -terrorist prosecution seized

Since Sunday evening, several penitentiary establishments have been attacked in Agen, Nanterre or Toulon, targeted by vehicle fires and automatic weapon fire.

These attacks have been chosen, learned BFMTV from a source close to the file. They would have been planned in reaction to the creation of High security prisonsand more precisely in the face of Gérald Darmanin’s strategy against narcobanditism.

The national anti -terrorist prosecutor’s office announced this Tuesday, April 15 Tuesday, an investigation, in particular for “terrorist criminal association” on Tuesday, April 15, and “attempted assassination in relation to a terrorist enterprise”.
