A new storm is coming. Named Hans by the Italian weather service, she will bring strong winds and a hectic sea in certain parts of the Mediterranean from Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
The north of Italy will be particularly affected: more than 200 mm of rain could fall by Thursday, causing strong floods and landslides.
Here is what to expect in France.
100 mm of rain locally
Supported rains are to be expected this Wednesday in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, with 100 mm of rain on average, depending on the Swiss model opposite.
About twenty departments will be vigilant for thunderstorms, rain-rowing, avalanches, floods and snow-Verglas, indicates Météo France.
Low altitude snow
This breakdown axis also brings snow in the mountains from 1,400 metersor even possibly a little below by isothermal effect.
The minimum temperatures will drop from Wednesday, with only 1 to 4 degrees in the North West, 3 to 7 degrees in the rest of the territory, with the exception of the Mediterranean periphery where it will still be 10 to 14 degrees.
Thursday is expected to be the coolest day of the week nationwide. A rise in temperatures is expected by the west and the southwest at the end of the week, but this should be accompanied by a new rain-storing degradation, with the mistral and the tramontane that will get up in the south.
