6th Edition of the I-PHD competition: support the entrepreneurial vocations of young doctors
Launched in 2019 by the government and operated on behalf of the State by Bpifrance, the I-PHD innovation competition is aimed at all young researchers with a business creation project in connection with their research work. As part of France 2030, this competition makes it possible to support the most promising young researchers in the development of their entrepreneurial project. Through this competition, the State thus wishes that scientific discoveries can benefit citizens as quickly as possible and strengthen French sovereignty.
In addition to the visibility offered by innovation competitions, each winner benefits from a support program allowing him to accelerate his project and develop his entrepreneurial skills in connection with his laboratory and his transfer structure.
The I-PHD competition since 2019 is:
- 194 awarded winners;
- 50% of I-PHD winners who created a startup within 3 years of the program;
- 38 I-PHD winners who have also become the I-LAB winner
- € 77 million lifted by 16 former winners of the I-PHD competition
Applications open from April 7, 2025 to May 16, 2025
