“Verstappen is at the limit of what the car can give”

Sixth of the sprint then tenth of the Miami Grand Prix, Yuki Tsunoda brought four points of her weekend in Florida, her most beautiful harvest since his tenure at Red Bull. A which remains too far from the standards expected by the Austrian stable, but which leaves a little optimism to the Japanese pilot in its adaptation to the RB21.

Ensuring before the start of the weekend that the Milton Keynes single-seater was not necessarily “super difficile” To understand, but that it was another pair of sleeves when going to get the limits, he was able to confirm this trend. He thus intends to rely on the margin of progression which he deems very important, unlike his teammate Max Verstappen who already draws everything he can from a machine that has suffered around hard rock stadium.

“Obviously, finishing tenth is not the position I wanted, but I take what there is to take, especially the sixth place during the sprint race, even if it is by taking advantage of several penalties in of me”Rescume Yuki Tsunda. “But I think that, in this race, if we look at Max too, it is not only I who am in difficulty: at the team level, we clearly did not have the pace. This is something that we will have to analyze.”

“As far as I am concerned, at least, confidence in the car is starting to come back little by little, and I understand the car better and better too. I am sure that Max is already on the verge of what the car can give. For my part, whether in the sprint race or the main race, I know there is still a lot of margin to exploit. So I’m just going to focus on it.”

After four Grands Prix under the colors of Red Bull, the results are struggling to but Yuki Tsunoda still experienced the American meeting of the year as a relief as to the progression of his sensations while driving.

“Honestly, the previous qualifications and the Grand Prix [à Djeddah] had left me a little perplexed “he admits. “Admittedly, in the race I had an , but I did not understand why I could not take out the performance.”

“At least, on this Grand Prix, apart from the Sprint qualifications, everything happened rather cleanly in terms of tricks and regularity. Especially in the race, I was quite constant. I am not sure I could do much better for the moment, but in any case, it was clearly a better weekend than the previous three.”
