Red Bull filed a complaint against George Russell after the arrival of the Miami Grand Prix. The Mercedes F1 driver is accused by the team of Max Verstappen, who finished fourth just behind him, of not slowing down enough under yellow flag when Gabriel Bortoleto abandoned.
Verstappen had told his team to check the data because it seemed to him that the Briton had not acted legally during neutralization. Later, Gianpiero Lambiase, the engineer of Verstappen, told the latter to stay less than five seconds from Russell, therefore anticipating a possible penalty.
Russell was summoned to 1:15 am French time, the commissioners, which means that he is currently there with a representative of Mercedes. A representative of Red Bull is also summoned to explain the request of the Milton Keynes team.
The post-race is definitely complicated for Russell, who finished on the podium but could lose it, and did not participate in the press conference. Indeed, it was given for medical reasons after suffering from stomach pain during the last rounds of running and after arrival.
