Tragic accident on the road. An eight-year-old child did not survive his injuries after the fall of a car in a river on the night of May 7 to 8, Ouest-France reported.

Between midnight and three in the morning this Thursday, May 8, a vehicle made a road trip on the departmental 146, in Maine-et-Loire. He struck a barrier before falling into the water in the Nantes Sèvre, not far from Torfou (Maine-et-Loire).
The two adults who were in the submerged car managed to extricate. But not their eight -year -old child, who was also on board.

It was not until the rescue intervention to get it out of the water. Found in cardio-respiratory arrest, it is transported from emergencies to the Cholet hospital center (Maine-et-Loire), but cannot be saved.

An investigation was not opened the Angers prosecutor’s office in order to determine the precise circumstances of the tragedy. The investigations were entrusted to the gendarmerie, said Ouest-France.
