The Ukrainian city of Soumy located 30 km from the border was affected by a Russian strike on Monday, April 13. At least 34 dead and hundreds of injured are to be deplored.
In the ruins of downtown Soumy (Ukraine), the slow work of Ukrainian help continues. Over several tens of meters, they must secure blown buildings and evacuate carcasses of sprayed cars. The Russian double strike disfigured the district and traumatized its inhabitants. “We decided to go safe with the children and it saved our lives. If we had stayed in the car, we would be dead today”says a resident of the neighborhood, still in shock.
Monday, April 13, a few minutes apart, two Russian missiles hit the city center of Soumy, a Ukrainian city 30 km from the border. The bombing left 34 dead and a hundred wounded civilians. The area was then very busy. Ukrainian authorities quickly denounced a war crime. The day after the attack and without proving it, Moscow ensures that soldiers hid among civilians, accusing the Ukrainian army of using the population as a human shield.
