New cycle loops to test in the Bigouden country

The creation of the cycle loops was born in 2023 in the municipalities of Plomeur, Saint-Jean-Trolimon and Plobannalec-lesconil to meet the growing demand for tourist routes or bicycle walks but also to develop the practice of two-wheelers on the territory. In 2024, two loops were created in the municipalities of Île-Tudy and Loctudy and in 2025, the municipalities of Combrit-Sainte-Marine and Penmarc’h joined the process.

Qualified as difficult, the 15.5 km course, on Combrit-Sainte-Marine allows you to enjoy the shaded paths of Roscouré wood but also small heritage, fountains and washhouses, nestled in the polder, while offering beautiful panoramas on the ocean and on the small port of Sainte-Marine and its sailor’s shelter which have retained their authenticity. In Penmarc’h, the 12 km loop of an easier level allows you to at the of the paths the various megaliths of the sector but also to stop in the small village of Madeleine or to travel the maritime district of Saint-Guénolé and the marshes of Lescors. All these cycle loops are listed in a bicycle map of the Bigouden Sud country produced in partnership with the Community of Communes and the Tourist Office. Beyond the seven circuits of various levels to browse with family, the inhabitants and visitors will also be able to find several bicycle routes such as the veloroute La Littoral, the greenway which connects Pont-l’Abbé to Quimper and the route connecting Pont-l’Abbé to Penmarc’h via the old railway life.
