We needed a Geneva winner in our fantasy competition for this 78th edition of the Tour de Romandie. “Yann F” had taken orders the day before at the end of the Romandie Tour-Tour stage and he knew how to keep them after the time trial and all the points of points that go with the final arrival of the race. Hat!
With Joao Almeida, Lenny Martinez and Jay Vine in his ranks, he had enlisted the final podium. Add Matthew Brennan, winner of a stage, Iván Romeo and Mathys Rondel, both placed general and a little all week, and you will get the trifle of 3202 points. A total that no one managed to approach.
Behind him, at 306 lengths, the “Team Stavia” of “Dewie” made a beautiful second. The third step of the podium is divided between the training of “David392” and “V1213”, but to light years from our big winner, which put 721 units in the view!
And what about me, betrayed by lots of abandonments, 27th and dropped with only 1993 units when I was pretty well started. Ashamed! I did not even manage to finish in front of my estimated former colleague Stéphane Combe, going back to the 22nd place at the end of the week.
